Ate breakfast this A.M. Shaved without water; no baths; move bowels without water. Some fun. Took off about 10:30 a.m. by G.I. truck for our camp of San Pancrazio at about 12:30. 93 miles to the SE of Bari. Made nice time.

This place looks like the middle of the desert. Sand all around. Tents. No water; heat; dusty.

They tell us it's a good deal. Put in large double tent. Dirty with junk left by guys homeward bound.
